About the workshops

Linocut is a technique for creating prints by cutting a pattern into a matrix and then imprinting it on paper. It allows for simple, clear forms and strong contrast.

During the linocut workshop, you will learn the principles of pattern design and how to prepare a matrix and make prints.

These classes are for people who enjoy manual work, value concentration, and want to try working with graphics in the peaceful atmosphere of a studio.

What will you do?

You will prepare your own plant graphic using the linocut technique and print it on a washpapa notebook.

First, I'll talk about linocut printing and show you how to transfer your design to linoleum. Then, you'll cut out the design and make prints on various types of paper, exploring your options and practicing your technique.

You will make the final print on the cover of the notebook.

You can use the plant patterns I have developed or create your own.

There will also be time for coffee, something sweet and work at a leisurely pace.
