Cyanotype workshop - simple technique, exceptional effect

Cyanotype is one of the older techniques of fine art photography. It used to be used to create reproductions, today it is classified as alternative photography. When making prints, the photosensitivity of iron salts is used - hence the blue color. Cyanotype gives the ability to create images by contact, that is, by laying objects directly on paper coated with a photosensitive substance. Sounds complicated? Nothing could be further from the truth! The whole process is simple and intriguing, and completely safe. I will guide you through it step by step.

Who is the cyanotype workshop for?

For anyone who would like to learn something new, enjoys manual work or just wants to spend an interesting evening in a relaxed atmosphere. The workshop will focus on floral motifs - you will make two prints each in two different sizes. You will also receive antiframes and passe-partout to frame your works, so that after the workshop they will be ready to hang on the wall.

How to prepare for the workshop?

For the cyanotype workshop, wear comfortable clothes (you may get a little dirty) and bring a good mood with you. I will take care of the rest 🙂

You will receive everything you need to make 4 prints (in two sizes), and I will help you to secure and pack your finished works decently. The whole thing will fit into one bag, which you can comfortably and easily take home.
