Kokedama (Japanese for "moss ball") is a technique for planting plants without using a pot. Instead, a ball of carefully selected soil is formed, wrapped in moss, and secured with string. The finished arrangement can be placed on a saucer or hung. Kokedamas work well as simple interior decorations—they add a touch of greenery where a traditional pot wouldn't work. In my version, I complement them with handmade brass hooks and concrete stands, which give the whole thing a modern touch and blend well with interiors of various styles.
