KOKEDAMA WORKSHOPS – Hanging Gardens
Kokedama workshops in Warsaw are an opportunity to learn Japanese plant art and create your own decorative arrangements that will adorn your interior. I invite you to these intimate classes in my studio.
What is kokedama?
The "Kokedama – Hanging Gardens" workshop is an opportunity to learn the extraordinary Japanese art of growing plants without using a pot. Kokedama (literally "moss ball") comes from the bonsai tradition and involves planting plants in a specially prepared soil mixture and then covering them with moss, creating a decorative structure. The resulting arrangement can be placed on a stand or hung, creating a so-called hanging garden.
Most plants with a small root system will work well as kokedama – species with interesting leaves or hanging shoots look particularly impressive.
During my workshops, you will create two kokedamas to take home with you.

Who are the kokedama workshops for?
For anyone who wants to try something new, enjoys crafts, or dreams of a moment surrounded by greenery and a creative atmosphere. We invite both those taking their first steps in the world of plants and those already experienced in growing them. During the workshop, I'll discuss not only the technique of creating moss balls and how to care for them, but also the selection of plants and how to refresh the arrangement after many years. Each project comes with a stand or hook, so your kokedamas are immediately ready for display. This means even those with extensive plant knowledge will find something new and inspiring.
At the workshops:
Step-by-step kokedama workshop
You'll learn how to make kokedama from scratch. First, I'll share the key theory and materials, then I'll show you how to put this knowledge into practice, creating your own arrangement step by step.
